"Diversity is our strength!" -- Dan Quayle

From the Washington Post:
AP: Surviving Boston bomb suspect identified as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass.

Supposedly, he and his fellow terrorist brother from Chechnya via Turkey are legal residents of Cambridge, MA.

Thank God he doesn't have to "live in the shadows" as an undocumented worker.

Rubio 2016!

On a per capita basis, Chechans are the people most likely in the world to be terrorists. They live in a miserable bombed out ruined and occupied country, are Muslims living in a country destroyed by Christian bombs, and are white enough to blend in. They also may have been educated in what remains of the Soviet system that is good at imparting technical skills like making bombs.

You took the words right out of my piehole.

And don't forget: America is a nation of immigrants.

I realize that asking questions like this is ridiculous, but why after pulling off a "successful" operation, didn't they just melt into this huge country, instead of doing stupid sh*d like rob a convenience store? Have they been watching too many 1970s movies?

you gotta admit this is pretty out of left field. the article on the Chechnyan ethnic group on wikipedia says there's only about 300 living in the united states, which is shocking given my observation that if there's some obscuro, weird ethnic group out there, there's at least 100,000 or more living in the united states (like the assyrians, whom i thought hadn't existed for two thousand or so years: what's the u.s hittite population?)

obviously the reason why this happened was because these individuals felt intimidated being such a vanishingly small ethnic minority in the u.s. the solution i think is to dedicate 50% of this year's diversity lottery to Chechnya.
